Della Boyns to Move Onto New Pastures

Manager of The Cook Book St. Just for the past eight years, Della Boyns, announced today that she has decided to hang up her apron at the cafe to focus on her expanding outside catering business ‘Della Events’. The St. Just based caterer has secured multiple pre-booked weddings and events ahead of next year, and owner Della Boyns insisted her company's record of providing excellent quality, local food had won them a bellyful of business from both local people and tourists visiting the area. She says; “I have loved driving The Cook Book cafe's success. I was extremely proud of my team when we were rated one of the Top 6 Cream Teas in Cornwall in 2015 by Visit Cornwall. We have become rather a victim of our own success, the outside catering really took off when we launched our Della Events website last year, and over the past year we have catered for many weddings, sometimes of over 200 people, and worked in beautiful grounds such as Trereife. After impressing at these events we have been recommended for lots more for 2020 and we now have a secure order book to take the business forward, many of them have booked because of our reputation for providing high quality, inventive Vegan, Vegetarian food and Gluten Free Food. I will be relocating my outside catering business to my husband’s farm at Higher Bostraze which we will also use as a venue for weddings and events. Although I will be incredibly sad to leave the Cook Book, it will be more convenient to work from home and be closer to our animals, and my husband, who may now get his dinner on time!“ Della and her teams last day at the Cook Book St. Just cafe will be 29th September 2019.
